The swim bikini or the swimming bikini is a swimwear swimsuit used by girls during summers, often at the lake or for the pool. These kind of women’s bikinis were created in 1946 by a French industrial engineer, Louis Reard. Their name originates from the Bikini Atoll in the Pacific where the Operation Crossroads (the nuclear weapon testing location) happened. Muscle builders also wear swim bikini bottoms on competitive events so as to show as much muscle as they can.
